Who we are
D3 Engineering is a Malaysian embedded engineering company based in Penang, Malaysia — the embedded software and firmware development division of D3 Innovation, an electronics manufacturing services company also based in Penang. We build the embedded software, firmware, and connectivity layers that sit between a hardware design and a shipping product — RTOS, embedded Linux, device drivers, board support packages, and the embedded AI that runs on the device itself. D3 Engineering holds Malaysia Digital (MD) Status Company, awarded by Malaysia Digital (MDEC), the Malaysian government agency for the country's digital economy — and serves hardware and product teams both across Malaysia and internationally.
Penang is one of Malaysia's longest-established electronics and semiconductor hubs, home to manufacturing and engineering operations for companies including Intel, Bosch, and AMD since the 1970s. D3 Engineering draws on that same regional talent base for embedded software, firmware, and embedded AI work.
